The West Bengal Police Recruitment Board is expected to commence a written exam for Excise Constable posts in the month of August. Recruitment Details:- The board has released a notification for the recruitment of Excise Constable posts (Male/Female) in March 2019. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for 3000 posts from 11/03/2019 to 10/04/2019.

The candidates who opted for the West Bengal Excise Constable Recruitment will get their WB Excise Constable Admit Card from the official website. As per the board’s instructions, there is no provision to send the admit card via postal service.

WBPRB Excise Constable Exam Scheme – Paper Pattern

Preliminary Written Test (Full Marks – 100): The eligible candidates will appear in an MCQ based preliminary written test which is qualifying in nature. There will be 100 objective type questions having multiple choice of answers carrying equal marks each.

The duration of this test will be one hour. The competence of a candidate in Bengali/ Nepali will also be tested at this test. Questions for Preliminary Written Test except those meant for Bengali/ Nepali language will be set in three languages (Bengali, Nepali & English).

The questions of the Preliminary Written Test shall be from the following subjects:-

  1. Test of language (Bengali/ Nepali) – 50 Marks
  2. General Awareness & Reasoning – 50 Marks

Physical Measurement / Efficiency Test: The qualified candidates will be called for the physical measurement test and physical efficiency test. The candidates are advised to check the detailed notification for the details regarding the WB Excise Constable PMT/PET. After that, the qualified candidates will be called for the Main Examination and Interview/

Main Examination: All the candidates who qualify in the Physical Measurement Test (PMT) & Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be called to appear in the Final Written Test. The schedule will be released on the official website as and when it is finalized by the officials.

The Final Written Test will have 90 Multiple Choice Objective Type Questions (MCQs) each carrying equal marks. The duration of the test will be 90 minutes. Questions of the Final Written Test shall be from the following subjects.

  1. General Awareness and General Knowledge – 30 Marks
  2. English – 30 Marks
  3. Elementary Mathematics (Madhyamik standard) – 30 Marks
  4. Reasoning – 30 Marks

After that, the board will conduct the interview having 10 marks for the above-said recruitment.
