KPSC KAS Preliminary Exam Result & Cutoff Score details
The Karnataka Public Service Service has successfully completed a preliminary examination for Gazetted Probationers in the State Administrative Services (KAS) on 20 August 2017. In the next phase, the recruitment authority will announce the result for this exam. The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers (GP) Result is likely to be declared within two or three months. The candidates can check the KAS GP Result by using the Login ID (Application No.) and Password (Date of Birth) on the official website.
In 2015, a recruitment for 401 posts of KAS Gazetted Probationers in various departments of the Karnataka State. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for these posts. As per the organizational information, A large number of candidates shown interest in this recruitment. A massive number of applications were received. The authority conducts a written examination (Prelims) for the registered candidates on 20.08.2017 respectively.

The KAS Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam took place on 20/08/2017. A massive number of candidates appeared in the examination. The candidates who have been a part of the test are eagerly waiting for the result for the same.
The KAS recruitment authority will announce the KPSC Preliminary Exam result as soon as possible. The result is likely to be declared in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to check the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result by using the application registration number and date of birth.
KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result get
The Commission releases KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in online or offline mode. In case, if the results are released in online mode, the applicants have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as Registration No. and Date of Birth. After entering these details, the detail will generate your result on the desktop screen. Now you can check your KPSC Gazetted Probationers results and can also get the provisional result sheet for future reference.
Whereas, to check the KPSC Result KAS Prelims Result 2017 through offline mode, the candidates have to get the result in pdf file from the official website. In the offline, the Commission will upload the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in Pdf format. In which all the qualified candidate’s Registration No. and Name is provided. The candidates can use Ctrl+F in order to search their Registration No. to check the result. The Commission will upload mark sheet on the official website after declaring the KPSC Administrative Services Exam Result 2017. The candidates can get the result sheet for the provisional use.
KPSC Gazetted Probationers Cut Off Scores
The Preliminary Examination had two papers with each carrying 200 Marks. The applicants need to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper to qualify. The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the mains exam. The Commission will announce the mains exam date, a few days after the declaration of KPSC KAS Prelims Exam Result 2017.
The recruitment authority will finalize the cut-off marks on the basis of difficulty of the exam, the number of applications received vs the number of vacancies and number of appeared candidates. A notification regarding category-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official web portal. The candidates will be intimated on their registered email id and mobile number also.

Shyam bhat and the kpsc officials are very high on some new stuff..don’t know from where they got it..they have proved it by saying “after July 15th results” , “137 subjects” , even Krishna bajpai said that results will be in February itself..guess he tried the new stuff first and then gave it to SB and all staff.. @Gopi; I can tell for sure its a fake news. Kpsc is just trying shift the blame on evaluators. If u speak to any Kpsc person they will tell same story. They r just trying save their face…
Till now the evaluators have not faced a situation where there was low turn out n burden on them had increased. Also the invite is sent well prior. So there was not a situation where evaluators had turned up in Kpsc n had to wait as previous evaluators had not finished..
All evaluations r happening as per their plan.

Last time , people actually met secretary in kpsc office and we’re informed results be on 27th April 2016 (mains results ). This time we r not even informed by anyone ?damn . It’s an year on this 20th @august. So hopelessly they conduct exams . They do take salary ,perks from govt! aren’t they guilty ,when they use that money ,that they are not doing justice to so many students out there .how cud they digest the fact they r making so many students suffer . Like the world is less a pressure cooker already !
@Aditya n for all those who have doubt abt evaluation process; Dont heed to rumour mongers. GS 2 was completed in June itself.
Also optionals which r associated with GS 2 paper,Geography, Pub ad, was also evaluated after GS 2.
My friend confirmed that his prof had gone for geography evaluation 2 months itself. Even one candidate also confirmed here that when he had gone fir doc verification geography evaluation was happening, 2 months back..
So basically we have confirmed news from various sources, especially prof, that all language papers, GS, optionals like Kannada literature, Pub ad, Geography, RD, Economics, Sociology, History, Political science evaluation completed.
Anthro is in doubt if its started or starting from 6th.
So this covers most of the optionals. Only pending is the least preferred optionals, like psychology, animal husbandry( not sure which all).. Hardly 20 – 30 take those.
So our estimate is that the evaluation wont stretch beyond 15th.
Also they r planning for monthly meeting before 22nd of this month( info from reliable sources)
So results expected soon. Mostly before 25th, if they can secure sign from members.
Just keep preparing for interview..

@David; Third evaluation is done when there is huge difference between first n second evaluation.
Also third evaluation will be Imm after 2nd evaluation only where required..
So basically once the GS or optional paper is taken for evaluation it is made sure that evaluation is done completely, means all 3 evaluation..
They cant call evaluators again for the sake of third evaluation..

It’s really hard to digest such information. I’m still checking with various sources. The information I received so far is really make anyone to get frustrated. I just read recent comments on this platform. As few said, it’s uncertain about result dates and cannot be said exact dates. Yeah it’s true actually, no one can get exact date on which results will be published. Coming to the expected date of publication, results will be delayed by another fortnight as evaluation is going on. There will be central digital evaluation and each answerscript will be evaluated by 2 examiners. It’s similar to the VTU’ digital evaluation process. About 2-3 optional papers yet to be taken up for evaluation. List preparation won’t eat much time. As I said, crucial stage of process expected to be completed in a fortnight. No surprise if it delays further. Speed up your preparation for interview phase (I know how difficult it is without any confirmation of being recommended for next stage).. hope you are all preparing for the next stage with positivity. I’ll come back to you as soon as I get tentative result date. Till then, adieu..

The evaluation is still going on @ valuation of some mains papers and 3rd evaluation of some papers.. This is accurate news all of us already know it…so after evaluation also there are procedures to follow to release the results.. It would take some time.. In a government set up no one can come out with actual dateon how many days it would take for file movements.. Even members or chairman can’t predict exact date of results because they themselves don’t know… The work will be going on once it’s over without delay they would announce it.. What all we do here is just speculation or guess work… So let’s all wait for that good day with patience…

This seems credible cos I have got 10/12.5 for the national park question in snt
For the questions like mention any 5 NPs and sanctuaries and their location, evaluators award full marks.
Actually more, i got my marks statement question wise from kpsc, in GS 3 i scored in 180’s, the least i got for an answer here was 7.5, for the last question in GS 3 i was awarded 12/12.5, so if its a good answer covering all aspects getting 10 on avg is possible

@Krish … i did not qualify compulsory kannada, i am really tensed thin time regarding kannada
Oh is it! Damn! This is scary man.. I ve heard many saying this. God knws if my level of kannada was enough for them. *just hope they were liberal this time around *

@Random guy…# exact number of candidates opted for Anthropology will get to know only after final list. Even though you apply via RTI, information would not be given till completion of the process..Since it’s 1:5 even average scorer also gets a chance this time around. So no matter how the evaluation is done whether liberally or strictly ,does not matter…Just get ready for the interview if you are confident enough of getting through…..
What about history optional evaluation,any body has any info kindly share.

Ayyo I remember that day after exams I was almost blank. Like that sir just snatched my paper. I fell short of time badly. So really scared of that paper. Just hope they see I ve written decent grammar nd stuffs.

Even though wrote for 110 marks in kannada compulsory paper but don’t know what would happen bit scared.

last time anthro people were 437 i had filed an rti asking the details this time the number may be the same or more than last time as a lot of first time aspirants have taken anthro but as u said we cant come at the exact figure

How about sociology? How they are evaluated? Like what is the average score last year in sociology?
@kkk, last year sociology average scores very less compared to other optionals, i scored only 305 was expecting much more, in 2011 exam i had scored 372……just hoping that this year socio will score, and the biggest hope is that kannada compulsory papers be corrected liberally

sir in 2011 the paper was for 600 i suppose from 2014 its for 500 if we take the percentage it roughly hovers around 62 percent of the total marks i guess . so for 500 the 62 percent is 310 so u got a score of 305 just 5 marks less . i feel kpsc is totally biased towards kannada optional rd geography

@Ryan; Please do share any info about RD evaluation or abt subsequent process in evaluation, (just in case the professors have enquired in Kpsc), when u happen to check with ur professors…
i havent checked as of now nor do i know the date from which anthro is starting as my professor said its all confidential and anthro evaluation is going to start soon (they are old timers on the verge of retirement the strictly abide by secrecy thats why he doesnt reveal anything) . The rd professor i havent met him as yet but he also is a man based on ethical principles those people refuse to divulge the details i just somehow managed to get the starting date from him .

Sanu, I am not blaming Geetha but trying make it clear that what ever we say it on here is going to be proven wrong as KPSC acts cranky ..None of us can actually guess exact date …No doubt she is trying to get us some handy information..
Nothing we can do other than waiting patiently..Let’s see how things shape up..May be a matter of two to three weeks…Things will end there …
No, geetha told she ll inform about progress today by evening. Not that today only list is ready! Lets Have patience And wait.
Geetha gave us wrong information that the 1:5 list is being prepared but it’s proved wrong. So no news is right news for now. Just hold on for another two weeks…Last week of August or first week of September you will all get to know your results…This is true to the core…
