KPSC KAS Preliminary Exam Result & Cutoff Score details
The Karnataka Public Service Service has successfully completed a preliminary examination for Gazetted Probationers in the State Administrative Services (KAS) on 20 August 2017. In the next phase, the recruitment authority will announce the result for this exam. The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers (GP) Result is likely to be declared within two or three months. The candidates can check the KAS GP Result by using the Login ID (Application No.) and Password (Date of Birth) on the official website.
In 2015, a recruitment for 401 posts of KAS Gazetted Probationers in various departments of the Karnataka State. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for these posts. As per the organizational information, A large number of candidates shown interest in this recruitment. A massive number of applications were received. The authority conducts a written examination (Prelims) for the registered candidates on 20.08.2017 respectively.

The KAS Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam took place on 20/08/2017. A massive number of candidates appeared in the examination. The candidates who have been a part of the test are eagerly waiting for the result for the same.
The KAS recruitment authority will announce the KPSC Preliminary Exam result as soon as possible. The result is likely to be declared in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to check the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result by using the application registration number and date of birth.
KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result get
The Commission releases KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in online or offline mode. In case, if the results are released in online mode, the applicants have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as Registration No. and Date of Birth. After entering these details, the detail will generate your result on the desktop screen. Now you can check your KPSC Gazetted Probationers results and can also get the provisional result sheet for future reference.
Whereas, to check the KPSC Result KAS Prelims Result 2017 through offline mode, the candidates have to get the result in pdf file from the official website. In the offline, the Commission will upload the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in Pdf format. In which all the qualified candidate’s Registration No. and Name is provided. The candidates can use Ctrl+F in order to search their Registration No. to check the result. The Commission will upload mark sheet on the official website after declaring the KPSC Administrative Services Exam Result 2017. The candidates can get the result sheet for the provisional use.
KPSC Gazetted Probationers Cut Off Scores
The Preliminary Examination had two papers with each carrying 200 Marks. The applicants need to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper to qualify. The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the mains exam. The Commission will announce the mains exam date, a few days after the declaration of KPSC KAS Prelims Exam Result 2017.
The recruitment authority will finalize the cut-off marks on the basis of difficulty of the exam, the number of applications received vs the number of vacancies and number of appeared candidates. A notification regarding category-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official web portal. The candidates will be intimated on their registered email id and mobile number also.

- Find the detail named KPSC Gazetted Probationers (Prelims) Result

- get it and take a valid print out for provisional use

For normal evaluation only they wont take 6 days for history. So basically its just a template circulated for all who have been invited..
third evaluation is done for papers which have variation of 15 percent in marks after the two evaluations . so i think papers will be very less in number

Source- hampi university faculty. 3 evaluators from hampi uni have come down.
When asked abt results they said I have no idea abt other optional or papers I just know we have been called again for optional evaluation for 6 days

Hi I’m in front of Kpsc Office saw a evaluator going inside he showed the invitation letter and then went in . In the 4th floor of Kpsc building I could see around 4-5 evaluator . I asked him which subject he didn’t speak to me and went ahead .
I guess they came for 3rd valuation

@Srk; before starting my prep for both Kpsc n upsc i had interracted with evaluators who had gone for evaluation previously n also with those who had made it to the list.
All told same thing; handwriting doesnt matter. But it should be legible.
Ur scoring doesnt depend on how good ur handwriting is. It all depends on how much burden u reduce on evaluators( by making ur handwriting legible).
Also on ur presentation skills. Like using diagrams n all..

For all those who have misconceptions, i would like to recall ur memory regarding previous events.
2011 GP exams; there was mass corruption (based on cid report, not my personal opinion). Kpsc went ahead in releasing the list. Govt asked Kpsc to reconsider based on preliminary report which indicated corruption. However Kpsc reiterated the same list. Invariably govt cancelled the notification which it had given to Kpsc for recruitment of GP s, indirectly cancelling the list .Basically govt doesnt even have power to reject the list in direct terms. The case is sub judice. Future course of action based on SC orders.
2014 GP exams; after it was found that corruption at various levels n need for reforms. Both Kpsc n govt accepted hota commission recommendation(not completely though). Based on that various changes were made in the exam. However interview rules werent finalized before notification. Even After announcing mains results they couldnt conclude the rules governing the interview. So interview got delayed close to a year.
Govt wanted to increase ratio, also bring in reservation in interview panel. However Kpsc dint agree n also govt finally realised that it wont stand legal grounds. So they dropped.
Thats not the case now. Interview rules r finalized. So govt cant delay interview, until Kpsc concurs with it..
Dont forget secretary has to report to chairman. Govt at the most can transfer him, but someone has to come to that place. Until then there will be someone with additional charge with same powers.
Whatever whims n fancies govt wants to carry forward, chairman has to concur. If he doesnt, govt can hardly do anything.. Also chairman is a previous govt appointee n also he will be eager to finish the prestigious process before his term..
Also its not like Kpsc has no idea of results or interview. U guys r misinformed. Evaluation is being done full swing without any off. Also interview schedule is under preparation..

@vijay any selection list whether to be accepted or rejected is subjected to the decision of court which doesn’t mean govt don’t have the power to reject a list.

Yes I also got the same information yesterday, interview will b held under new chairman.
Appointing of chairman also takes time, if governor rejects name or with hold for some time, then interview will not be possible before February/March.
If kpsc convince govt (especially for those who are putting pressure on kpsc not to announce results before Dec) then we may expect result soon.

But as per my view govt can only accept or reject the final list , and it has nothing to do with schedule of mains or interview dates, which is under the sole control of kpsc.

@Gunda ..That’s what we are saying..There must be back door pressure and always there will be oral discussion between Govt and KPSC on certain things…I am not saying there will be a direction from Govt to KPSC at every stage in writing…We can’t rule out the possibility of political pressures indirectly on kpsc issues…

People are fancy of using the date 28th and this has been a ritual since past few months June gone,July gone, now August? let’s see that also… thanks for all the people out there who are working so much to get the inforamation they could, hats off.. at least that is giving a sense of happiness And motivation to wait. But I just hope result will come soon so that it gives a kind of peace, at least we will be knowing where we stand,and to chalk out our next course of action. But all the people out there don’t loose you heart stay strong and you are not alone here in this mess.

Today I met someone who has intricate details of KPSC exams , notification (Don’t want to mention his post or name). He is not sure about the results , even his response was quite perplexing to me. Moreover, instead of talking about KPSC he congratulated me for clearing prelims and asked to work hard for that. Even he in his conversation appreciated UPSC’s transparency.

My source also had told GS 4 will get over this week. So prob its ethics i guess which might take two more days(including today).
Guru will be in a better position to inform. Which he told will tell on Friday..
I will check on Sat or Sunday.

How did your GS4 paper go?? Did anyone give examples to all questions, used quotes ? Answered all questions? Last year GS4 paper evaluation was liberal even without much content lot of people scored well , will they continue doing so this year

my only worry is v wrote cureent affaurs examples in decmber ….bt thay r corrctin those papers in august..so currnt examples what if the evaluators cant comprehnd my examples..godd
i dont think that is gonna be a matter of concern as the other aspirants would have also quoted current affairs example from december or prior to that .
Sir questions like Patanjali, were difficult. I still don’t know the answer. Which book did you refer for ethics ? Even few questions in other GS paper were tough.

i also faced problems in 3 questions in ethics theory of dissonance
patanjali and theory of small needs into big wants . rest of the questions i have put case studies diagrams and quotes i dont know if the strategy is gonna work . i have tried to attempt all questions

I have got 12/12.5 for the last answer in GS3 last year, many answer scored between 9-10, least scored in gs 3 last time was 7.4

Yeah i have completed all questions with almost same quality in Essay,GS 1 and GS 3, this year although i completed all questions in GS 2 i am not happy with the quality of answers in geography, GS 4 completed all questions but nobody can say about quality because subjective paper, i feel my quality is good in GS 4 (last year i scored 129/130 i think) this year expecting same marks in GS 4, expecting an increase in Essay, GS1 and GS3, and may be 20 marks decrease in GS 2

my friend met evaluator near kpsc . The evaluator said that if the quality is good he has awarded 15 for the 20 marker and for the 15 marker he has awarded 10 marks . so the average range may be 7-8 for the 15 marker and above 10 for the 20 marker
Thanks @ryan , some of the questions went well like the first question and ethics in IR , but I have managed to fill all the pages somehow , let us see how much I score based upon that I will try to improve it next time

Think of the situation when the chairman and the secretary both are puppets..what’s going to happen?? It’s a destruction of talent, months and years of hard work,merit, valuable finance,emotional trauma,loss of age and what not.
Aspirants should organise themselves put pressure on kpsc through social media and press..a tweet a day,a phone call to media everyday, by applying a PIL at the last resort can save us..contact your friends anyone will be knowing a lawyer or an NGO or any person with concern toward students.. Do your bit everyone to get faithful and honest results..because.. It’s not an easy task to prepare for a vast syllabus with sacrificing many things..parents dream of their childrens bright future.. All have their own plans to come out in flying colours,to live the life they dreamt of..hardwork shouldn’t go waste..hardwork and talent should be the master not Money and caste..

They can always delay the interview process till their guy is made the chairman
I sincerely hope the process doesn’t get delayed cos I neither belong to biscuit kings caste nor do I have the required money power to influence the recruitment don’t know what’s gonna happen Cos I heard under the present chairman there were more than 60 percent genuine candidates who were selected now with the chairman going God save me
None of this would have happened if there had not been this much delay

Oh my God I belong to brahmin community my father is a priest in a temple . I don’t have any back ups or anything just dreamt of getting into a good job now working as a lecturer in a private college I have enough financial burdens I can’t afford to pay up or anything !! I don’t have the reservation too ( by the way I’m not against reservation ) heard biscuit king in 2005 made sure that majority of posts go to one particular dominant community and those who can cough up the required sum ! If this happens again I’m doomed and out of the race ! It’s really sad state of affairs that’s going on in Karnataka. The vicious circle of corruption and inept aspirants getting into the list is demeaning all our efforts. However true it maybe but there is a fair chance for everyone. The whole selection can’t be influenced. Despite the claims that many paid huge sums last year, personally I know many who made it even without giving a penny. But on the other side my uncle fought unsuccessfully from 1998-2007 against kpsc (Despite getting selected in 98 he wasn’t allotted service and was asked to marry someone, which he refused and went for lesser job).
So the suggestion is not to heed to any rumours.
Just few years before I was drawing 6 figure salary then left everything and jumped the bandwagon called UPSC. Eega nanna paristhithi thrisankudu to that we lost all our produce to Kodagu floods. UPSC mains is months away but after all these lost hope before entering the Warfield, now waiting anxiously for KPSC results.
Present Chairman has seen many such “biscuits” in his career…I hope he will not yield

Sept mid is like worst case scenario. Best possible expected time is still Sept 1st week itself..
It all depends on getting approval from members. Last time mains result got delayed for couple of days as they couldnt get approval from all members..

But its not finalized.. They r checking availability of academicians, members. Members need to approve also.. Will get exact info only after the approval in the meeting..
