  7. number of seats for gm candidates(pure gm male) is 38 and hence intake 760. approximately if we assume there are max 200 candidates from gm with marks more than 200 then the cutoff anchors somewhere near 179-182.
i feel cutoff going upwards . but plz somebody who has 2014 notification can u count the number of seats for gm candidates male.
also while filling vacancies gm seats are filled first, after that gm rl, gm kn likewise.

  13. I just come here to enjoy some or the other guys/(girl today) fighting .. like it’s been a routine for u guys to do that and for me to have a gala time out of it.
U guys/girls are supposed to represent Karnataka’s unity and just look at how you guys are tearing each other up just to decide an exams cutoff! Wow..anyways all the very best to all of u!

    • Well said nandish… In each case our guys r like dis only.. Dey don’t show unity.. Dey will stand with other State people leaving our people n here dey should try to come to conclusion but dey r pulling each others leg… I don’t know what dey will do after becoming “officers” … Even I wonder like you..

    • less seats will offset the benefit ppl were getting from tough question paper. 175 for gm. for gm category everyone is eligible. say if a 2A category candidate has secured marks more than what a pure gm category has secured 2a will be given seat in gm category(provided he hasnt claimed age relaxtion).

Coz if you dont clear prelims also it would be helpful in future. No one knows the exact figures,so manifesting of a source or gining testimony of cut off is unfortunate.. but you should preparing it always who know’s when it will be useful.

        • Sorry mam, i am not worried about the anyone’s result..i really couldn’t digest when u said IAS exam was easy.. i did write that exam and i crossed that bridge… but still i felt it very difficult… KAS cannot beat IAS when matter comes with intellectual questions.. look at the questions this time.. champions trophy, james bond…seriously.. these are not up to the mark

          Reply
          • Ok agreed… UpTo who’s intellectual marks it can be termed as tough? It’s very subjective and you cannot actually degrade yourself by telling that you are intellectually not UpTo the Mark when compared with your counterparts who writes IAS .
KAS is actually UpTo it’s own standard. Don’t compair Apple and orange.

          • I don’t know y u r so much bothered..i mean each n every person’s exam view is different depending on d study d time n other circumstances..i felt it easy may b u felt it difficult,it doesn’t mean u can degrade kas questions…if dat is d matter den kas paper was v easy fr u n u wud not be so much keen to knw d cut off n instead been studying or may be u feel kas is very easy as u said n u r amongst d ppl writing ias the intellects..all d best..i don’t want to discuss more on dis..

  15. All points are valid but will all candidates get more than 170? Because inspit of large number of attendees and easy paper last time that cutoff for GM non-HK was 170 and for GM HK it was 140, then even now the same prediction is carried on? And some one asked abt details of expert from whom I got the info, well i gv the info which I came to know if someone don’t agree it’s fine by there is no compulsion that it has to be agreed. As I saw most of the people in this forum will be qualifying to mains so all the best to every one for mains

  17. It is a bit hard to imagine tat the cutoff for GM would be less than 170. In my opinion it will be in the early 170’s, in the range of 170-175. Just thinking.

  19. Dear friends I am in such a crucial situation that some aspirants in this group r predicting cutoff in 140-150 marks range, others r predicting in 175-185 range. Please clear me anybody is there any concrete base for this prediction

    • i dont know about other categories but as far as GM and 3A ONLY MEN candidates seats are less only about 40 combine gm+3a for males so 40*20 ie only 800 seats for mains so cut off will be high for HM and 3A
but for GM women and 3a women it will be less than last year
i can certainely tell for gm it is above 180+
take a look at above poll we have around 350 people above 180 that too only in 4000+votes think about 130000 people who have writen exam and sample that

  20. In this group, aspirants are framing the cutoff as per the score they have made it in Prelims..estimating it within the boundary of their convinience and comfort zone..
