The India Postal Department is recruiting Gramin Dak Sevaks (GDS) at various Divisions in the Chhattisgarh state. A notification for the 2492 vacancies of Gramin Dak Sevaks ( ग्रामीण डाक सेवक ) in Chhattisgarh has been published on the official website. The selection of the candidates for the above said posts will be done on basis of 10th Standard obtained marks. The merit list will be uploaded on the official website very soon. As we know, the postal department has commenced a recruitment for the Gramin Dak Sevaks in April-May 2017. But due to some administrative reasons, the recruitment was canceled. Now, the department is commencing the recruitment again. Applications are invited from the candidates for filling up 2492 posts of Gramin Dak Sevaks at various divisions in the state. As per the notification, the CG Postal GDS Selection List will be published on the website within November-December 2017.

Chhattisgarh Postal Circle GDS Selection Process

As per the notification revealed by the recruitment authority, once the application registration process is over, the category wise merit list will be generated by the post office department. The selection list will be prepared on the basis of marks obtained by the candidate in 10th Class board exams.

There are no extra marks for the higher academic qualification. However, the candidate who cleared the 10th in the first attempt will be preferred over the one who has completed it after appearing in the compartment exams.

If two applicants are having the same number of marks in 10th exams then the candidate with older age will be selected in the list.
