The Intelligence Bureau of India is going to organize a written examination for the 1300 post of Assistant Central Intelligence Officer (ACIO) (Grade-II/Executive) in Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs), the Government of India.

The Preliminary Examination for the ACIO-2 is scheduled on October 15, 2017. The main exam will be held on 07 January 2018. The candidates can get ACIO Admit Card 10 days before the exam schedule.

Update: The IB ACIO Admit Card 2017 will be available to get 20 days before the exam. the candidates can get the admit card from 22 Sep by logging into their accounts on official website. The detail has been provided below for the easy access.

Online application for ACIO-II/ Executive were accepted by the board from 12 August 2017 to 02 September 2017. The eligible candidates applied for the recruitment and now waiting for the release of the official IB ACIO Admit Card 2017. The Intelligence Bureau hall tickets will be available on the official website of the commission as soon as they are made available by the examination authority.

The commission has mentioned in the official notification that those candidates who are coming without the IB  ACIO Admit Card 2017 are not eligible to sit for the examination. Those candidates who are going to attend the written examination have to take care some things before attending the exam.

Additionally, Candidate needs to carry an Identity Proof along with the Intelligence Officer Admit Card 2017. Candidates are also advised to bring two recent passport size photos as invigilator may demand during the examination. Candidates are free to bring any of the below-listed document to the exam center.

Note: Candidates are advised that Ration Card is not a valid ID proof in case of candidate verification at the time of examination. ACIO-II Exam Paper Pattern

The IB ACIO exam will consist of 2 Papers. Paper 1 will be objective type while Paper 2 will be descriptive type. These papers have been given the name of TIER 1 and TIER 2. Only the candidates qualifying tier will be called up for the tier 2.

Special Notes: –

• The candidate has to appear in Tier-I at one of the test centers mentioned only
• There will be negative marking of the ¼ mark for each wrong answer in Tier-I.
• No marks would be awarded for an un-attempted question.
• Only those candidates would be called for Tier-II exam who come up to a certain standard in Tier-I. For Tier-II examination, there will be minimum cut-off marks of 33%.
