KPSC KAS Preliminary Exam Result & Cutoff Score details
The Karnataka Public Service Service has successfully completed a preliminary examination for Gazetted Probationers in the State Administrative Services (KAS) on 20 August 2017. In the next phase, the recruitment authority will announce the result for this exam. The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers (GP) Result is likely to be declared within two or three months. The candidates can check the KAS GP Result by using the Login ID (Application No.) and Password (Date of Birth) on the official website.
In 2015, a recruitment for 401 posts of KAS Gazetted Probationers in various departments of the Karnataka State. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for these posts. As per the organizational information, A large number of candidates shown interest in this recruitment. A massive number of applications were received. The authority conducts a written examination (Prelims) for the registered candidates on 20.08.2017 respectively.

The KAS Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam took place on 20/08/2017. A massive number of candidates appeared in the examination. The candidates who have been a part of the test are eagerly waiting for the result for the same.
The KAS recruitment authority will announce the KPSC Preliminary Exam result as soon as possible. The result is likely to be declared in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to check the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result by using the application registration number and date of birth.
KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result get
The Commission releases KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in online or offline mode. In case, if the results are released in online mode, the applicants have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as Registration No. and Date of Birth. After entering these details, the detail will generate your result on the desktop screen. Now you can check your KPSC Gazetted Probationers results and can also get the provisional result sheet for future reference.
Whereas, to check the KPSC Result KAS Prelims Result 2017 through offline mode, the candidates have to get the result in pdf file from the official website. In the offline, the Commission will upload the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in Pdf format. In which all the qualified candidate’s Registration No. and Name is provided. The candidates can use Ctrl+F in order to search their Registration No. to check the result. The Commission will upload mark sheet on the official website after declaring the KPSC Administrative Services Exam Result 2017. The candidates can get the result sheet for the provisional use.
KPSC Gazetted Probationers Cut Off Scores
The Preliminary Examination had two papers with each carrying 200 Marks. The applicants need to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper to qualify. The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the mains exam. The Commission will announce the mains exam date, a few days after the declaration of KPSC KAS Prelims Exam Result 2017.
The recruitment authority will finalize the cut-off marks on the basis of difficulty of the exam, the number of applications received vs the number of vacancies and number of appeared candidates. A notification regarding category-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official web portal. The candidates will be intimated on their registered email id and mobile number also.

- Find the detail named KPSC Gazetted Probationers (Prelims) Result
- . on the detail and Fill the required details like reg no. & Pass
- Check the filled information and . on the proceed button
- The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result will be shown on your desktop screen
- get it and take a valid print out for provisional use

General studies and Essay demands us to display our depth of knowledge, So spellings, handwriting (unless terrible), grammar hardly matters (Don’t know about KPSC). It’s only in Essay grammar and spellings come into picture mostly because it is evaluated by language teachers (Not sure) .

there is nothing called as absurd question but only awful reply. I asked how is the evaluation , are they leniant ??Do they award marks to absurd , illogical and out of context answers like your reply. Because many of them in my center after filling gibberish were claiming paper to be easy .

Yeah! ppl who gave pub ad told there was one heck of people comin off thr centre! Anthro thr were some 300 in my centre maximum. Plus management optional.. I don’t think thr were more than one centre for anthro optional!

Are u taking abt last time? if then, yes. Last time majority of the people selected were from Kannada followed by RD. It is because there is no scaling of marks in KPSC. Though it has been approved by the govt. last year it will not be applied to this process. Previous secretary Prasanna Kumar told that it will be effective from the next recruitment process. Evaluators are usually lenient in Kannada.
Any idea on the maximum marks that Kannada literature guys have got.

Friends, nobody knows exactly WATS happening inside kpsc now.. It is true that valuation started on may 14th..and kpsc will take minimum 2months so it is unlikely June end or July first week.. Just we need to wait till July end.. Sham sahab has just given hint..

Okie .let them not give results forevr . 8-9months for 7k approx papers . Ridiculously failed commission is kpsc . No hopes left .
In the last batch KPSC took 40 days to complete evaluation of all the papers. Since evaluation of all papers take place simultaneously it can be completed within in less than 3 months. But again nothing is a standard when it comes to KPSC…
Someone commented few days back saying apart from Kannada n rural development all other papers r corrected.
Now another person comments that only sociology optional papers r corrected rest of Optionals still pending.
Guys better wait for an official word rather than breaking our head.

There is no reference to compare because last time it was 8 months gap between mains result n interview as interview rules were not finalized. This is not the case for now..

I spoke to one lecturer whose colleague had gone for evaluation. What the person confirmed is sociology optional evaluation is over and other optional still pending. It will take another 2 Months for process to complete..

Don’t speak out of frustration!! It’s already late so they finsh the process very quickly. Result will come out within 15 days. And the process will be transparent. Dont fall prey to middlemen.

Kpsc history of gazetted post recruitment has not been free of corruption and it has been proved in 2014.
The present chairman has a spectacular name as a person who loves vitamin M to the core.
The 1:5 ratio for interview speaks everything of what’s going to happen next.(if demand is more the price increases)
However one qualifying for interview should never lose hope and give their best shot so that your name would be in the final list..
All the 424 posts can’t be filled through corruption so there are plenty of chances to clear this exam honestly so prepare well for interview..
Results will be August end.. after that document verification in October end.. and interview on Feb 2019 first week.. Results will be on June 2019..
And it will be fastest if this dates are done.. believe me.. and keep ready big Amount by Jan 2019 .. it will be helpfull.. because 1: 5 almost every body who thinks he will get through mains for interview they will get interview calls..

Ratio will be surely 1:5. Whatever is mentioned in the notification stands. If they choose to call at the ration of 1:3 then its a deviation from the stated rule and surely there will be litigation.

It’s highly unlikely to manipulate mains answer sheets..but considering the present regime and the chairman anything can happen..however there is a fear to manipulate mains answer scripts hence the corruption WILL take place in interview process..
Considering that the results may come by next month (as the chairman is due to retire) the IT dept.Karnataka has been active in tracing the unholy Nexus between higher officials of govt and those having contacts with kpsc members..hence there would be a raid anytime on these officials..
Let those with hardwork and genuine efforts have the chance to serve the people.

2 things. Digital evaluation was introduced for convenience but it has brought with it some opaqueness. Papers and marks are provided separately under RTI and there is no way you can make out if marks have been altered unlike in the paper copies. Previous scams came into light because marks were altered. Without valid proof nobody investigates on a complaint of irregularity and there is no way one can get a trace to any golmaal for making a complaint.
Second thing. Many lecturers especially old ones are not used to digital evaluation. They find it as a inconvenience to them.
And one more thing. IT guys wont keep vigil on every officer. There should be some complaint and some material proof for them to initiate such a thing. Moreover Bhatta is very sound in making golmaal without any trace. He is known for it… Since he is retiring the package sale theory might be true.

Not sure how far this is true. But got to know people with high level contacts are getting in touch with members for package deal meaning deal in written marks plus the interview. My friend’s friend got in touch with one of the lady members it seems, not directly though as they wont deal directly.
Secretary should safeguard the marks and see to it that there is no undue intervention in the evaluation process. But this secretary is useless. Hand in glove with the members and chairman in dealing.
If this happens then no hope of getting any good post for me 🙁 Waste of all the effort.
Then stop worrying about it. If you have written well no need to listen to these rumours. Otherwise concentrate on other things.

Most of my papers, the examiner will think someone else wrote first half paper and second half paper! Lol. Coz my handwriting actually changed towards end. Beginning it’s decent enough. But as time passed it got horrible!

This is funny 😛 Dont get offended. But none of the members in KPSC are appointed by the JDS govt. Govt might ask them to give preference but cant pressurize them much. What you said is a hypothetical situation and nothing more than an assumption. But all I can say is Kannada Medium and people who have taken Kannada optional will be in the top and majority of the selected candidates will be amongst them like last year.

@RR I am asking this out of curiosity, as per the information circulated everywhere evaluation started from May 15/16 th. So in 25 days they have completed Languages, Essay, GS papers & some of the optional papers. Only pending is evaluation of some optional papers. Y do they need another 20 days to complete that??
Tabulation shouldnt take long as the evaluation is computerized. Tabulation can be done very quick.
If they have evaluated so many papers in such less time, I doubt the quality of evaluation…

Evaluation of all papers take place simultaneously. So if planned will take very less time. But as usual KPSC is inefficient. And the quality is always the same. There is no parity and there is lot of distortion from one elevator to other. More preference will be given to things like handwriting, number of pages filled etc. etc…. Very few give importance to content.
Common its not school to award more marks for handwriting.
Ur paper should be readable n the evaluator shouldnt find it difficult to read n evaluate..
They know u cant complete all questions if u concentrate on handwriting

I do accept the fact that many have failed in language papers. U cant expect to write for 75 n expect to score 52.5 unless u have done exceptionally well.
Based on my personal experience n what i have heard from evaluators they do correct it liberally..
Lets do a simple math, even if u have left essay n precise writing ur attempt is for 100.. In rest even if u have done a decent try u can get 52.5
So be positive n just wait for the result without bothering for all these things

I have attempted all the questions but not sure on the quality. Essay I could hardy write. I might end up getting 5-7 marks in essay. Except that all other questions attempted.

The evaluation rules stipulates that if u fail in even one of the language papers, rest of the papers need not be taken up for evaluation..
So only they take up language papers for evaluation first

Guys if you are already working in govt service, and applying for other job make sure you have NOC , don’t put wrong information. A girl from last Kas batch selected as CTO , was removed from service , for not disclosing about her previous government job

ya it must be taken before applying……for KPSC we must get NOC…..but for UPSC we have to just intimate to department that we are taking up exam……
further, it same in respect of income certificate…..because once u (candidate) start earning through public sector incomes get accountable….and based on income they earn some categories like 1/2/3(A/B/C) it gets changed to GM….if it cross certain limit(may be 6lakh when we wrote kpsc mains 2015)…even in such cases they will cancel the candidature from list
Hello, If a person is working as a software engineer in a multi national company and earns more than 6 lakhs, will that persons income be considered in deciding category or just the income of the parents is considered?
may be only parents income….its may be hard for them to trace……and you are not supposed to take NOC from your multinational company…that’s why i have clearly mentioned it has public sector……..
@apoorva persons income is the deciding factor, but usually many lie if they are working in private companies and don’t show up the real salary and claim category

I dont know who can confirm this. I dont have any source to confirm this. Even our Tehsildar was not sure of this.
