  1. @Jai I dont have that data as to how many cleared from sociology or any other optional.
All i know is that most them who cleared r from Kannada, RD n also who had taken exam in Kannada medium.
Prob the theory that many take exam in that optional so many get selected from that holds good. Not sure..
One of my friend had left one question in each of gs papers. Yet he got good marks n cleared mains. Even quality of answers also matters.

      • No he dint make it to final list.

He was too aggressive in his approach during the interview.
So one piece of advice: Be balanced in ur approach to the questions they ask…

      • Hey Vijay your comment was very relieving, last time i got mains score 1006, but failed in compulsory kannada , yes i had not practised kannada last time but now i did practice still i have fear, i could attempt for 120 marks only in compulsory kannada, sory to ask u again COMPULSORY KANNADA marks give liberally right??

        Reply
        • Yes. Thats what my friends relative told me.. That they have evaluated Kannada compulsory paper liberally..
But again it depends on the individual evaluator..
Stay positive u will.surely clear this time.
By the way 1006 last time is a very good score. Hope u have recreated the magic this time also..

UPSC Prelims prepare agthira Andre optional prelims paper solve Madi..Start in the month of December and daily solve 5-10 questions daily(If you start later it will be bulky and waste of time). History (Medieval, modern and ancient) + culture is turning to be a deciding factor (atleast you’ll get 4-5 questions right ).

  4. @jj, Be careful with use of words. Word – Connection, can give a whole different perspective.
U dont need any connections to get any information.. U have to try. Not just commenting…
People u know will give information out of good will.. Not only because of “connection”.
Also sharing information doesnt amount to connections in any way.

    • Last year FIR was registered against a guy working in IRTS because he openly announced that he cleared and got so and so rank, prior to the announcement of results (indeed accurate).
What I am referring here is these exams are supposed to be conducted in secrecy , from question paper to evaluation. So no one except few actually know about the results, rest everything is just BS. Certainly those handful of people won’t reveal anything.
Whatever your saying is nothing but hearsay and is not much valuable than chaff. So what’s the point in speculating on those. What will or can you do when results are not announced on the date you mentioned.

      Reply
      • Just because a single person or a bunch of people like u comment some info to be BS, it doesnt mean it should be that.
Previously also i had commented that sharing info doesnt amount to hampering the secrecy.
U cant stop the professors from revealing how the evaluation process went thru once they r out of it.. Pls keep.that in mind.
I am not hear to comment hearsay. I am sharing Whats credible info i can get.
If u r not in a position to collect any information better dont discourage others from doing so.
Some ppl have a habit of sitting quite without doing anything n just commenting on others efforts.
I am not telling or speculating any thing abt the marks/or anything.
If u also try u also will get to know the status of evaluation… U guys wont try thats all..
I am ready to share my contact n adress also u can register a case against me also… U r most welcome.. 🙂
Result might come or might not, for several reasons, on the date which i am telling. But Atleast i am trying to share information i am receiving…

        Reply
        • I did never doubt your credibility .. I am just saying it is indeed difficult to get the correct date. Are you sure that there isn’t any evaluation remaining except that you have mentioned (or another round maybe)..
I will challenge you results won’t be announced for another month.

Sorry ! I am not demeaning your efforts. Your efforts are truly applauding. And thanks for information but It’s just I lost hope on KPSC board. Carry on your good work.

No idea , why I am visiting this site. For no reason when I search for some content Google this out.

          • I am not giving any specific date. I am telling that the result might come within July last week or max by Aug 1st week.
Based on what information i have received from evaluators, once the subject is taken for evaluation it will be finished completely.. Like double evaluation n also third evaluation where required.

So basically no results next week.
U can expect it by month end or Aug first week.
Until then pls relax n prepare for interview instead of breaking ur head for these things. U will hardly have any time once the results r announced.. So prepare well n be optimistic…

  11. Kannada literature max 1500 ppl. Last time 1100 took. So they can finish the evaluation in one week provided already 50 evaluators.

  12. As per information i received from reliable sources, what few have commented is true. Ethics paper evaluation might completed today or max by Monday.
Remaining Kannada optional paper evaluation will start from 17th. Which wont take more than a week time.
Tabulation n list preparation wont take long as it is digital evaluation.
So we can still expect results by month end or Aug first week.

        • What he said might be true… considering half the number took Kannada as optional, 3500 people – 7 thousand papers including paper 1 and paper 2. Each paper has to be evaluated twice. So total number of evaluations will be 7000*2 = 14000 papers. No?

          Reply
      • 16000 only if everyones taken Kannada literature as optional. I dont think Thats the case here. Even rural development is second most sought after optionals.
Lets do a simple math. Even if half of the 8000 ppl who have qualified have taken Kannada, it comes to roughly 4000 for this optional.
So two papers for one optionals. Thats 8000 papers to correct.
Which is possible to evaluate in a weeks time…
