  1. Anyone has information regarding history n sociology optionals!?
I had info from Kpsc that it was evaluated along with GS.. Now i dont believe these guys…

  2. Guys how long will we wait for results? Today you have come to know of PSIR Evaluation next you’ll come to know of Pub Ad..and later of philosophy and animal husbandry and veterinary science..until there is pressure these guys will not act soon..they are of thick skin..there are lot of ways to create pressure:-
You can tweet on daily basis to cm and cs
You can contact newspaper and media over phone
    Can meet chief minister..
    Lastly can submit a PIL..
It’s all depended on us..unite and move forward..
If they are not pressurised definitely results will be delayed.
Mains results will be in September end ..if they decide to conduct interview after upsc mains then it’ll start from October.. It requires at least 40 to 50 days for interview..the final results will be stretched to January.. Then one Month objection time..think of the time..it just flies man..
You can’t just keep on bubbling the omr..if you all pressurise then definitely results will be soon..else..you know what happens..

  4. Guys Ryan had mentioned in previous texts that last time political science was taken by 124 ppl..
So if they have worked today also, it would have got completed today itself..
Moreover its not just one subject evaluation being happening.. Simultaneously many or Atleast a couple of subjects r being evaluated. So dont worry…
Can anyone confirm if Public administration is completed!?
Geography for sure as i have info from evaluators…

what ??? Almost 1 year gap between mains result and interview ?
that means current kas interview will be next year august ???

    • Last year delay was for a different reason.
Interview rules n panel composition was not finalized so..
Kpsc( basically secretary Mr yadav, a honest officer) wanted hota committee recommendation in which interview panel will have 2 Kpsc members n 3 experts (academic background; VC , prof from iim, etc).
But government wanted only 2 experts, so only 4 in panel..
So Kpsc did document verification separately..
But finally Kpsc had to relent n panel composition was reduced to 4.
So only it got delayed for long. This time Thats not the case as its finalized…

      Reply
      • So, this year interview panel is fixed ? 4 members ?
Is there any possibility for the present regime to alter it ? and delay it ?

        • Last time chairman was not appointed the previous government wanted to bring out a new interview qualified list 1:5 ratio which they were not able to do !! And there was also lot of confusion regarding interview panel previous cm wanted to have an interview panel were there was a SC st and two other members belonging to obc general something on such lines which was opposed by many aspirants . So there were lot of reasons for the delay I don’t know what will happen this time

          • ohh… that means it is a very long process… should be prepared for another 1 year delay.. under extreme condition..

      • True. 2017 mains of upsc I was way confident.. But got 805.. Lost interview call wit 3 marks for general cutoff..I still dint come out of that shocker.. Hope it doesn’t repeat.

He had gone for evaluation ( date dint mention). They finished evaluation in less than a day (prob 3 were there i guess).
There were evaluators from other optionals also.
Along with that evaluation of ethics was going on ( he heard when they were speaking abt the topic. Not exactly any interaction with other evaluators as they finished very soon).

I can identify myself with your situation completely. In fact i have gone through many ups n downs than yours. that doesn’t mean nobody has gone through worse condition that what we have experienced. a brief story of mine follows.

2005 > failed in 2nd puc. i was struggling to learn english in science stream, since my schooling happened in Kannada medium till class 10.

2006> worsening financial condition of my family forced mye to go for earning after failire in class 12. left for bengaluru.

2005 to 2009 > worked as a cleaner in hotel, supplier in bar, used to earn ~2k per month.

(while working, i realised how society treats illiterate n un educated people, by which i mean you need to have a degrre certificate at least! I came back to my studies, started working hard, few months of preparation before the exam, and cleared my puc backlogs in 2008, while working as a food server in chaultri’s.).

2009> cleared CET exam, due to my poor ranking i got one of the worst engineering collages on bengaluru. Nadigar institute of engineering & technology. it was banned recently for lack of infra, faculty n lot of malpractices. again i had to depend on self studies completely. since there were no regular classes, i could study while working. i managed to complete my degree course in time. i got 62%. by then it was 2013 n my age was 26!

2013> started UPSC preparation. in 2014 n 15 failed in preliminarily exam. no coaching no guidance nothing. again worked hard n cleared pre in 2016. score was well beyond GM cutoff by 15 marks. much needed to boost my self confidence. but again i failed in optional selection. i couldnt score well in mains with history optional. huge syllabus requires either background knowledge or proper guidance, i lacked both. selected it based on my interest alone! Also I missed KAS interview by a small margin 2015.

2017> changed to kannada optional (Upsc), cleared preliminary. but new optional, Kannada literature took most of my time in mains preparation. missed interview by a small margin.

2018> warked really hard on my optional an gs for mains. answer writing and all.. i was frustrated to be frank due to my poor performance in my last two mains. in this mains mode preparation , I spent not more than 30 days for preliminary 2018. Its a huge blunder given less seats n tiklish paper. now failed in prelims.

Still I have not lost my hope yet. I know that i can clear this exam. I believe in myself! We come from different backgrounds, dont compare yourself with anyone. This exam demands tremendous patience n hardwork for a category of candidates.

Im now preparing for kpsc interview. I really hope my name will b in final list.
i have faced lot of personal n financial problems in between. they are too much embarrassing that i hesitate to share with you here. n i have crossed 30 also still unemployed. i wrote more group B n C exams than you. the point is- please dont think that you are the only person going through worse. Im quite sure there will always be candidates who would have gone through much difficult situations than what you n me have gone through. the purpose of hardships and struggles is to make you even stronger and resolute. dont lose hope dear. believe in yourself. 🙂

–not single exam cleared in past 4yrs

Possibility of delay in mains results can’t be ruled out as evaluation is till underway..Credible source confirmed that KPSC has no action plan as of now on dates about interview etc..They blindly continue to work..If they delay evaluation process by next one or one and half months it’s way for govt to appointment new chairman and do the interview. As a candidate I don’t expect these things to happen but present scenario looks like that. If things go otherwise we all are happy…But let’s also think of a hypothetical situation like that and be prepared…Let’s prepare for the worst and ready for the best…

      • Option1=7 boards * 9 candidates=63 per day.

        428 posts *5 = 2140 eligible candidates for interview(1:5).

2140/63= 34 working days needed to complete it.

For eg: interview starts from October 01st (worst case of delay).
It will be completed on November 29th (barring holidays and Sundays and second saturdays.)….

If Saturday also they took holiday then it will be completed on December 5th.

Option 2= if interview delays 1 member will get retired in November then it will be 6 boards.

        6*9=54 candidates per day

        2140/54=40 working days needed.
