KPSC KAS Preliminary Exam Result & Cutoff Score details
The Karnataka Public Service Service has successfully completed a preliminary examination for Gazetted Probationers in the State Administrative Services (KAS) on 20 August 2017. In the next phase, the recruitment authority will announce the result for this exam. The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers (GP) Result is likely to be declared within two or three months. The candidates can check the KAS GP Result by using the Login ID (Application No.) and Password (Date of Birth) on the official website.
In 2015, a recruitment for 401 posts of KAS Gazetted Probationers in various departments of the Karnataka State. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for these posts. As per the organizational information, A large number of candidates shown interest in this recruitment. A massive number of applications were received. The authority conducts a written examination (Prelims) for the registered candidates on 20.08.2017 respectively.

The KAS Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam took place on 20/08/2017. A massive number of candidates appeared in the examination. The candidates who have been a part of the test are eagerly waiting for the result for the same.
The KAS recruitment authority will announce the KPSC Preliminary Exam result as soon as possible. The result is likely to be declared in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to check the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result by using the application registration number and date of birth.
KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result get
The Commission releases KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in online or offline mode. In case, if the results are released in online mode, the applicants have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as Registration No. and Date of Birth. After entering these details, the detail will generate your result on the desktop screen. Now you can check your KPSC Gazetted Probationers results and can also get the provisional result sheet for future reference.
Whereas, to check the KPSC Result KAS Prelims Result 2017 through offline mode, the candidates have to get the result in pdf file from the official website. In the offline, the Commission will upload the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in Pdf format. In which all the qualified candidate’s Registration No. and Name is provided. The candidates can use Ctrl+F in order to search their Registration No. to check the result. The Commission will upload mark sheet on the official website after declaring the KPSC Administrative Services Exam Result 2017. The candidates can get the result sheet for the provisional use.
KPSC Gazetted Probationers Cut Off Scores
The Preliminary Examination had two papers with each carrying 200 Marks. The applicants need to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper to qualify. The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the mains exam. The Commission will announce the mains exam date, a few days after the declaration of KPSC KAS Prelims Exam Result 2017.
The recruitment authority will finalize the cut-off marks on the basis of difficulty of the exam, the number of applications received vs the number of vacancies and number of appeared candidates. A notification regarding category-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official web portal. The candidates will be intimated on their registered email id and mobile number also.

This is what I am saying kpsc can’t announce results in Septmeber …What psychology professor is saying now is correct ..Nobody knows when evaluation ends. Look evaluation process has got it’s own difficulties like kpsc invites 10 professors for evaluation out of 10 only 6 will turn up..then evaluation will lag behind and takes more time..Some aged professors stop coming for evaluation in-between…Like this we can list out numerous problems apart from technical issues.
Probable date is 15thSept..It may go beyond this date but not earlier to this. When we say results are delayed due to various reasons people here will come on us like wolf’s …Any time October is the good bet as of now..

There is no reason to feel bad..Usually evaluators will have no idea about the number of answer scripts left for evaluation..only those who supervise the evaluation process will have such info..so there is a high possibility of very less number of answer scripts left since ethics evaluation is going on for one month now…so chill

I just want to ask one question, please be honest ” DID YOU EVEN BELIEVE YOU COULD GET MORE THAN 150 AFTER COMPLETING THIS PAPER”. No, it’s not about the quality. You have skipped many subparts of the questions and tacitly covered it fillers, “Kudos to your creativity”. I am not commenting out of jealousy rather sad state of affairs in KPSC. You scored 189 because it might have been better than others, if so just think about other answer papers.
@Aryan, i knew that in KPSC evaluation its possible to score above 150 because i had seen a few Answer scripts of 2011 batch, 10/10 marks was awarded for some answers in 2011, so in kpsc i knew scoring is possible, but sincerely in GS 3 I was expecting around 150-160 last time, but scored much higher, even in GS4 i was expecting 150-160 but i got 129, so it depends on the evaluator
@RameshPatil Thanks for not taking offence and replying. In that case I’ll keep this answer and improvise if I have to give next attempt (Read somewhere that RTI will not be entertained this year so). What conclusions did you draw or what improvements you could have made in your GS4 last time so that you could have scored more (after looking at your evaluated copy).
@JK; Initially i dint knew that u can get answer sheets n marks brake up n all through rti.. But by the time i got to know i also realised that upsc strategy(strict adherence to word limit,etc) wont work here.. So dint bother applying…

Thanks ramesh..went through it,u have written well,but felt that for some below average answers u have been awarded good/above average marks..for e.g. 7th question on national parks your answer is very poor,still u have managed to get 8 marks,if I were the evaluator I would not have given above 3-4 marks…So overall I think the quality of evaluation is substandard..if this kind of evaluation holds good,then I will definitely score above 170 in gs3(given the paper was difficult than last time)…Such poor evaluation standards…god….anyways all the best
There is a problem. Some questions like 7th question despite being substandard has been awarded good marks however few other questions though good was not awarded proportionate marks {compared to other questions}. Overall the quality of answers is good . Going through the model answers provided by KPSC i felt this was way better{you can find it in forumkas}. Even then it’s difficult to conclude by seeing single paper. Let’s see if anyone else uploads.

Before n all there was no sequential answering.. So they used to suggest to write,Best answers first n average ones for the last, in upsc.. For same reason.. To create a good impression..
Moreover it depends on individual evaluator also.. He might find a answer good which we might find it average…

Answers r good. U have followed a set pattern (Intro, Body, Conclusion) for all answers, which is great. Diagrams where required..
Handwriting is decent. Which shows handwriting is not a criteria to score until unless its legible…
But for me surprising part is that u had time to underline!! How could u manage time for that… when its difficult to complete all answers!!

There wasn’t any nonsensical answer written to fill up the page, everything seems well knitted. Even content wise also it does not fall short. Certainly feels like it can be used as model answer for writing future kpsc exams.
However few things I noticed, please clarify
1) The answers where you have mentioned International organizations (like IUCN,Brudntland report), background and scientific words has fetched more marks than general answers.
2)More than diagram, the understanding of evaluator fetched more marks. Maybe he wants more complicated answer which tests his knowledge base. However diagrams might have added aura to your other answers.
3)Like I said earlier your handwriting doesn’t get worse at the end. You have balanced well between quality and quantity.
4)However it’s difficult to conclude by seeing your paper alone. There might be other perspectives involved.
Hope you clear this time. 13 years in this field is not a joke and you deserve a fairy tail ending. All the best

Just i am mentioning that I have been in preparation since 2005-06, been to upsc interview thrice, kpsc 2006 scored 883 i could have got thasildhar but did not opt (biggest mistake, over confidence to clear upsc), then now wrote 2014 kpsc failed in kannada, just hope that after so many years of hard work i get the deserved service now in KPSC GP 2015. Waiting for results getting dam tensed thinking about compulsory kannada. ( Definately i have done much better in kannada compared to last year)

guys update from my end a professor who i know (sociology subject) has received a letter to evaluate sociology optional (3rd evaluation) and gs 2 sociology section ( 3rd evaluation) from today till thursday is the ( number of days they have earmarked for the evaluation) in the paper ( its a template ) 3rd evaluation of gs 3 is also being done from today till thursday ie for 3 days they have called them for correction
my point is sociology professor has got invite letter to evaluate sociology optional and gs 1 sociology section for 3 days from today till thursday is the schedule in the letter it also mentioned gs3 is also going to start from today till thursday ( gs1 ,3) 3 rd evaluation is scheduled for 3 days

i guess it may come within sept end . since the invite letter clearly states its only for 3 days they need to come . and other friends have also confirmed that gs 2 geography polity and pub ad section (3rd evaluation )was going on last week. only cause of concern is ethics hopefully if they are also evaluated soon we will get our results within this month or even early

yes definitely its evaluated by experts . whoever told u all sections are done by same person has misguided u . last time also when I applied for rti questions were segregated into 3 sections history , sociology and economics ( the pdf files were named a,b,c) in question paper the questions were jumbled up last time hence kpsc only did the segregation . To avoid such problems this time they divided question paper itself to 3 sections . Last time ethics and science ie gs 3 the whole evaluation was done by single person no divisions were done when i applied for rti all the paper was in one single pdf file
@All… i thought of uploading my answer script , i think it may help most of the candidates, will also upload my marks statement so you can refer how much was awarded per question, will upload in Gdrive and share the link. And i am in this field from 2005, given 3 upsc interviews couldnt clear, kpsc 2006 marks 883 (did not take thasildhar, over confidence that i will crack upsc, biggest mistake of my life), 2011 kpsc missed interview by 1 mark, 2014 kpsc you guys know i did not clear compulsory kannada….i just hope this is my year to crack interview hurdle.

Chances are that it will get delayed since Gauri/Ganesha festivals are there in that week. Usually the process is derailed as members and others will go on extended leave and obtaining signatures and approval will be delayed. Hope they plan everything properly.

People here want to live in a virtual world instead of practicality..I have told this time and again nobody including secretary and chairman know the date of results then how come Vijay,Ryan, geetha etc…know about result dates…Some people don’t believe themselves they want to hear from others only. What ever information you have is correct information don’t cross check with anyone. Vijay, ryan etc..Can only tell you what’s going on in kpsc they can’t tell you the date of results..When kpsc controller himself told Ryan that evaluation would take another 15-20 days what other reliable source you want?.. When candidates contact kpsc officials for updates they would say something which they know..Candidates pest for information that’s why they give some information which may not real. And even they can’t guess day to day problems and tell you the details. Evaluation is still going on so for sure it takes another 15 days minimum…I have been in this field for atleat 8 years so again don’t ask which source why 15 days your source not reliable etc…
