KPSC KAS Preliminary Exam Result & Cutoff Score details
The Karnataka Public Service Service has successfully completed a preliminary examination for Gazetted Probationers in the State Administrative Services (KAS) on 20 August 2017. In the next phase, the recruitment authority will announce the result for this exam. The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers (GP) Result is likely to be declared within two or three months. The candidates can check the KAS GP Result by using the Login ID (Application No.) and Password (Date of Birth) on the official website.
In 2015, a recruitment for 401 posts of KAS Gazetted Probationers in various departments of the Karnataka State. Applications were invited from the eligible candidates for these posts. As per the organizational information, A large number of candidates shown interest in this recruitment. A massive number of applications were received. The authority conducts a written examination (Prelims) for the registered candidates on 20.08.2017 respectively.

The KAS Gazetted Probationers Preliminary Exam took place on 20/08/2017. A massive number of candidates appeared in the examination. The candidates who have been a part of the test are eagerly waiting for the result for the same.
The KAS recruitment authority will announce the KPSC Preliminary Exam result as soon as possible. The result is likely to be declared in the third week of October. The candidates will be able to check the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result by using the application registration number and date of birth.
KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result get
The Commission releases KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in online or offline mode. In case, if the results are released in online mode, the applicants have to visit the official website and enter their login credentials such as Registration No. and Date of Birth. After entering these details, the detail will generate your result on the desktop screen. Now you can check your KPSC Gazetted Probationers results and can also get the provisional result sheet for future reference.
Whereas, to check the KPSC Result KAS Prelims Result 2017 through offline mode, the candidates have to get the result in pdf file from the official website. In the offline, the Commission will upload the KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result 2017 in Pdf format. In which all the qualified candidate’s Registration No. and Name is provided. The candidates can use Ctrl+F in order to search their Registration No. to check the result. The Commission will upload mark sheet on the official website after declaring the KPSC Administrative Services Exam Result 2017. The candidates can get the result sheet for the provisional use.
KPSC Gazetted Probationers Cut Off Scores
The Preliminary Examination had two papers with each carrying 200 Marks. The applicants need to score minimum qualifying marks in each paper to qualify. The candidates who qualify in the preliminary examination are eligible to appear in the mains exam. The Commission will announce the mains exam date, a few days after the declaration of KPSC KAS Prelims Exam Result 2017.
The recruitment authority will finalize the cut-off marks on the basis of difficulty of the exam, the number of applications received vs the number of vacancies and number of appeared candidates. A notification regarding category-wise cut-off marks will be published on the official web portal. The candidates will be intimated on their registered email id and mobile number also.
How to check KPSC KAR Gazetted Probationers Result 2017:
- First of all, visit the official website at http://www.kpsc.kar.nic.in/
- Find the detail named KPSC Gazetted Probationers (Prelims) Result
- . on the detail and Fill the required details like reg no. & Pass
- Check the filled information and . on the proceed button
- The KPSC KAS Gazetted Probationers Result will be shown on your desktop screen
- get it and take a valid print out for provisional use

* mains list MIGHT go for secretary approval today or tom (as secretary had informed him during a meeting with him).
* interview might start from Oct 2nd week mid or 3 rd week.( If everything goes well)
Apart from this, I have not mentioned any particular date for results at all. Yet mine is the first name to be taken now if results wont come!!!

KPSC has called for document verification of some of the teacher posts from 3.10.18 to 15. 10. 18. So I don’t think there will be any document verification or interview of kas. So results may take some more time. See press notification in kpsc website
There are 40+ office rooms in kpsc… Do u think they will withheld one for another ?? They have infra to hold more activities at same time…. Both can go along at the same time… It won’t be an issue..

Attempted all questions in gs1,left one in gs2, and left one sub question in Gs(different races of sheep) 3,and gs4, what ever the answers I wrote was qualitative, and made sure wrote more so both quality and quantity, but lacks too many diagrams, all were descriptive pointers wise, sociology completed all the questions almost filled all the space provided.essay first essay 22pages and second essay 18 pages. I don’t know should see if I can make it to the list or not, this is my first attempt so no clue.. Women 3a category

Essay my score was below average just a mere 142.5 ( many have got above 160 and one of the toppers has reached 200 in essay )
I maybe wrong but I will just analyse
First essay I wrote on Brics bank I got 75 I wrote 18 pages
Second essay I wrote 10.5 pages it was on agrarian distress I got 67.5
Out of 3 hrs I spent 45 mins of brainstorming first essay and wrote it in 1hr 15 mins I was left with just one hour for second essay so I didn’t do brainstorming just went ahead writing and tried to cover as much points as possible
I have a few friends who scored very poor marks in essay one guy got 89 and another got 90 both of them attended interview and one of them became a tashildar . Both of them were serious aspirants who had given upsc interview as well so we can’t predict essay marks
But generally what I feel is in essay quotes historical background of a topic covering various dimension social political economic presenting your own view about a topic substantiating it and balanced conclusion will fetch marks
i was able to write diagrams to evsry possible questions in gs3 like i did last time as well.it makes evaluator to understan easily den goin through all descriptions

My score was 905.5 not 910 and didn’t clear as I was from general merit
Quality answers – sociology part and science and tech part I have been awarded 9.5 to 10 respectively
Average answers -5-7 marks
Problem I got it wrong last time I was awarde 0 marks even for steps I wasn’t given any marks . General note my answers in economics were not that good it was below average I got 4.5 to 5
Ethics last time were 12.5 marks question
Average answers -5 to 6.5
Good answers -7 to 8.5
Optional for 25 marks least I got was 14.5
50 marks least I got was 11.25
Highest I got for 25 marks was 18.5
Highest for 50 markers were 29
My optional is anthropology
And
Science and tech in that the agriculture part I hadn’t prepared at all just wrote relevant content got 3-5 marks on an average
Gs 2 I hadn’t prepared the pub ad part last time I got 3-4.5 marks per question
Gs 2 geography good answers 7.75
Average answers 4-6
Gs 2 polity part good answers 8-9.5
Average 4-7
History i left around 3 questions there and least I got was 1 mark and maximum I got was 6
Ps – good answers are those answers which I feel I wrote well
Average answers are those which have few relevant point
Poor answers are those which I didn’t have any idea just wrote an introduction half a page this is nothing but sympathy marks of 1-1.5 which I have been awarded

Economics for few question I had written 4 pages still I got a mere 4.5 marks and maybe quality wasn’t good
Sociology part I had written good quality answers and written all pages
History for one question I had written all pages it was last question from history Karnataka unification conference I felt I did well there but still I was awarded only 6 ( reason which I’m assuming now is I had left the first 3 questions and rest of my answers were bad so the evaluator might have thought I have written some bullshit and given me 6 But personally I feel it was a very good answer
To add to this I haven’t presented my answers in a mediocore way
No subsections in my answers both Gs and anthro
No flowcharts diagrams maps etc
No examples of tribes thinkers name in anthropology
No quotes in ethics no case studies or examples to substantiate my answers
My handwriting is legible not that great
this is just my analysis it may vary from person to person
Ps : I didn’t go for any coaching for Gs or anthro
I just went through standard books and blogs of upsc toppers and read on my own
I didn’t give any test series as well if you have given test series and incorporated the tips which they have given there you may score more
I went through few of the answer sheets obtained from RTI, based on that I am providing my analysis (Since it is not first hand info there might be discrepancies which can be corrected if Fakerappa, Vijay, Ryan, Ramesh Patil and Manoj adds further)
1) Excellent answer –> 11-12 marks (but depends on the impression created by other answers) {Quality + Quantity + Facts/Cliche terms + Diagram added advantage}
2)Good Answer –> 8.5-10 Marks (Same as above but evaluator’s discretion)
3)Average answer —>5.5-8.00 (General monotonous answer with fillers which can cover up the page + Sometimes relevant answer without addressing the question can fetch 5 or above marks but it depends on the impression created by you)
4)Covering up the page with bullshit ( 0(very unlikely ) – 5(if it satisfies above condition) but on an average it can fetch you 3-5 marks)
General studies ( Mostly 1.75-2.5 pages few questions just 1-1.5 pages (rarely))
Optional (3.5-4 pages for 25 marker, 5-7 pages for 50 marker) –>People have written more than this.
In a nutshell you’ll score decent enough score provided you did not leave many questions and did not stick to word limit

What difference it makes if 2011 candidates are more or less
300 odd candidates who already cleared the exam are retaking it because of misfortune. Now ask yourself does it make a difference
Most of 2011 aspirants who I know had exhausted all their upsc attempts they were waiting for 2014 notification to be announced the level of their preparation was very high when compared to mine as I was first time aspirant and out of those candidates two have got ac revenue and couple of others tashildar etc

Since general merit seats are 36
1:5 people will be selected for interview
Total 180 members will get through general merit
Last time gm seats were 55 * 3 ie 165 members were short listed
This time 15 members more are being shortlisted this time questions were slightly tricky and each question had various sub question so based on difficult someone can make a calculated guess
My guess is 900-915
Having said that for getting into final merit list u need a score above 960-970

Is it true that all those who r preparing for upsc clear kpsc easily!?? I knw a few ppl nd they r extremely confident that they ll easily b in list… God knws how they r so confident! Listening to such ppl I don’t feel lik asking anything to them.. It’s little demotivated nd creates panic..
I dunno what makes you say this.
1) There was just a month gap between UPSC Mains and KPSC Mains, If any of your friends had given UPSC Mains then their energy levels would have fallen by then.
2) Unless your friends are from PUB AD background they won’t go through GS2 in detail . They’ll drop their marks here
3) GS1 and Scoring optionals in KPSC (Rural development and Kannada ) is boon for those who are concentrating on KPSC
4)It’s difficult to concentrate on content + quantity in KPSC unlike UPSC where content is the king (quality )
This said if they did not give mains last year but appeared before , certainly it is an added advantage and they’ll stand a fair chance to make a cut.

@Ashwini – in interview there vl no right or wrong answer type question. Most of d Question vl be according ur previous conversations with interview panel. If ur in bangalore once interview starts go to kpsc d ask people those who already finished interview to share there questions.

Many have got 180+ and it necessarily does not mean their answers were out of the world genius. There are lot of factors that go into the marking pattern.
However I am little skeptical that with such answers one could reach UPSC interview thrice.
Anyway if he says it’s true, good for him and all the best.
@ Jon snow,brother the results are close and i know we are all frustrated, some people may like my answers and some may not, but the fact is that i scored 180’s in GS 3 last time, and also got good scores in other papers, to avoid any argument i did not upload other papers, i welcome criticism and i do not gain anything by lying abt my interview, YES i reached upsc interview thrice with the same writing style and UPSC did like something in those answers for which i got selected for interview, if I could have done better in interview may be i would have been in the list….. anyways i uploaded my answer script to help, those who want to follow my style can do so … As per my information the KPSC mains results had be announced om 19th which went wrong, now they say i will surely come either on 24th, 25th or 26th sept…..lets wait and watch. ALl the Best, may all deserving candidates clear

Guys he had uploaded his answer scripts nd I genuinely felt the nerve of his answers…very simple yet it covered evrything required..if u r doubting his answers for upsc, il recommend go see 2015 upsc topper tina Dhabi answers. It’s extremely simple, no flowery words yet covered evrything… Anybody can reach that but only aftr doing real good study nd getting hold of evry topic..its not easy..so do not talk so lightly about this guy.. He seriously did it to help Ppl… U dnt get an iota of info outside for kpsc except kannada medium books in stores..so his answer, the marks allocation way helped..

There are two ramesh patil, one is Ramesh Patil who claims that he is using his own name but gives all bat shit info. Other one is ramesh patil who uploaded his answer sheet and gave interview. @ALI brother, in those days evaluation was going on so i used to meet evaluators and used to update here. now evaluation is completed so how can u expect me to update whats inside kpsc. so no updates from my side in future.

My 10th marks card name is without surname and my degree marks card is with surname . It will be problem for document verification?

@ABC sir u please apply for rectification of ur name in the degree markscards as per 10th markscard.
kpsc will consider 10th markscard and they will give u time for rectification so dont worry.
now get a bond paper and clearly mention the fact and make notary of it. so that they will consider u and give u time to submit new marks cards.
even these documents will be again verified by ur selected the department.
Don’t worry approach university for the issue u will get updated marks Card in 7 days
