SSC Stenographer Admit Card 2018-19 Exam Dates Out Exam Scheme & Paper Pattern

The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) is initiating a recruitment of Group C & Group D Stenographers. Online application submission process is in the running phase. Applicants can submit their application in online mode only until 19-11-2018. After that, the commission will organize a written exam for these posts in the first week of February 2019. For that purpose, the candidates will be able to download the SSC Stenographer Admit Card from the official website using the application registration details.

The SSC Stenographer Exam date has now Announced and the SSC Stenographer Grade C & D Steno Exam is now Scheduled to be Conducted on 05-02-2019 to 07-02-2019.

The commission has released a recruitment notification with Advertisement No. F.No.3/3/2018-(P&P-II) according to which applications are invited from eligible candidates for posts of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ (1276 Posts) and Stenographers Grade ‘D’ (429 Posts) in Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations of Central Government, including their Attached and Subordinate offices located in various States and Union Territories all over the country. SSC Stenographer Admit Card

SSC Stenographer (Group C & D) Exam Date: The commission will organize a computer-based test for these posts from February 5th to February 07th 2019. If there is any change in the examination schedule, the candidates will be intimated on the official website of the commission.

Important points to note:

  • The question paper will be of Objective Type Multiple Choice. Questions will be set in Hindi and English except for Part-III.
  • There will be negative marking of 0.25 marks for each wrong answer. Candidates are, therefore, advised to keep this in mind while answering the question.
  • Marks scored by candidates in the Computer Based Examinations, if conducted in multiple shifts, will be normalized and such normalized scores will be used to determine final merit.

Skill Test Details: The Candidates who obtain the qualifying marks in the Examination, will be called for the Skill Test. The commission may also prescribe qualifying marks in each part of the Examination. The Skill Test will be of qualifying nature and the Commission will fix the qualifying standards in the Skill Test for different categories of candidates.

The candidates will have to appear for the Skill Test in Stenography. The candidates will be given one dictation for 10 minutes in English/ Hindi at the speed of 100 words per minute (w.p.m) for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘C’ and 80 w.p.m. for the post of Stenographer Grade ‘D’.

SSC Stenographer Admit Card Details

The SSC Stenographer Admit Card will consist of details like candidate’s name, roll number, photograph, examination centre details, examination time etc printed on it. Aspirants must check the admit card print properly. If an error exists, candidates can contact the authority before the exam date to rectify.

As per the instructions, aspirants must bring a valid photo identity card like aadhar card, voter identity card, driving license etc with them at the time of exam. The candidates without SSC Stenographer Admit Card print and valid photo identity card will not be allowed to enter the examination centre.
